About Owans Studio
Owans Studio is an online shop with lovely handcrafted products for you, your little ones and your home. All my plaids are hand knitted with 100% unspun merino wool. I knit with lots of love and with the help of a pair of oversize knitting needles to give my knitted products a unique and exclusive look. The merino wool that I use is a beautiful natural material. The blankets are created to give your home a warm and trendy look. My prints that I have illustrated are printed on carefully selected, thick paper. Read more about tips and care instructions of my products here.

The story
Ever since I was a little girl I have always had a dream of opening my own shop. In recent years, I have acquired many fun experiences throughout my university studies in Digital Media, via jobs at Media Agencies and other jobs in the advertising world. I have always had a strong passion for graphic design, social media, marketing and CRAFTS. I felt that I now were ready to start my own project along all other jobs. So, as the craft-girl I am, I took the time to start this little online shop, which resulted in getting the opportunity to show and sell my own products. I have to admit that I absolutely love working with this project.

Love to the Environment and the Animals
All merino wool that I use originates from South America and South Africa depending on availability from non-mulesed flocks. I do not support mulesing. I want the merino sheep to be treated well. By only using merino wool from non-mulesed flocks that also graze on vast Greenland, I know that the animal lives under good conditions! My prints are also printed on paper that is chlorine-free, eco-labeled and FSC certified. I have selected a paper with a natural whiteness and it is environmentally certified to ISO 14001.
